No, we will give you a sell car for cash quote free of charge and there's no obligation to accept.
When you call us, we will ask you a couple of quick questions to find out the make, model and condition of your vehicle.
Every vehicle has different prices and it can go up-to $12000.
When we provide a quote, it will be based on the following minimum requirements:
- you are able to provide photographic ID;
- your car is free of all finance charges, such as a hire purchase or loan agreement;
- your car is free from any additional waste, such as litter, refuse or rubbish;
- your car is accessible (in the case of a collection) meaning that it is parked on solid ground with inflated tyres, so that it can be safely winched onto a recovery vehicle.
- Your vehicle has a motor and transmission.
- We cannot do rolling body or shells.
If any of the above criteria are not true, the instant quote initially provided may need to be revised. You'll be given the opportunity to provide further details.
We may ask you some questions about your scrap car's condition such as:
- Are there any parts missing?
- Is there any damage?
- What's the approximate mileage?
- Do you have the keys?
- Do you have the registration?
- Does it start and drive?
No, your scrap car doesn't need to work and this will not affect your quote.
The price we pay is tailored to your individual car.

After you've accepted your quote, we'll try to contact you by email or phone to arrange a convenient time for us to collect your car.

We'll do our best to fit in with you and most collections are arranged within one hour or at the same day.
You'll need to have some things ready:
- your photo Personal ID;
- your keys, if you have them;
- finally, don’t forget to remove any personal belongings.
On the collection day we'll:
- arrive at the agreed time;
- check your car's details on the Personal Property Securities Register;
- take care of any paperwork;
- sort out the payment.
We need to check your Personal ID when we collect your car so that we can check that your car is registered to you and that you have the right to dispose of it.
The Personal ID you should show needs to be photo ID, such as your driver's license or passport.
Don't worry if your car doesn't have a registration, or if it has been cancelled, you can still sell your scrap or damaged car with us.
Yes, with Cash 4 Cars you can ask for a Certificate of Disposal to be issued to you, which proves that your car has been recycled to the highest of standards.
